To search for one or more words:
- statua
- to search for "statua"
- statua imperatore
- to search for "statua" and "imperatore" in the same context (title, finding spot, author &c.)
- statu*
- to search for "statua", "statuetta" and also "statuina", using the wildcard sign "*".
To search for an inventary number:
- S 753
- to search inside the sculpture collection for the inv.753
- urn:collectio:0001:scu:00753
- to search directly for the objects's unique ID
- 753
- to search for "753" across the repository … risking false positives (especially with four-figure numbers beginning with 18.. or 19.. !). Sometimes, though, the only way to check old registries, inventaries &c.
